Woodside Junior Rodeo

July 4, 2014

The 2014 rodeo was a huge success. Attendance was magnificent and everyone had a thrilling time. We hope you'll return to this page in the future to learn about our 2015 rodeo.

The Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County invites the whole family to a 4th of July tradition. Over a hundred young people from around California will participate and test their skills in America's oldest sport of Rodeo. Events will include roping, women's barrel racing, and bull riding for the older contestants.

Keeping the American rodeo spirit alive by supporting the next generation of cowboys and cowgirls is important to us. These boys and girls are provided an opportunity to ride at our beautiful facility in Woodside, CA. This rural setting amongst the sprawl of the San Francisco Bay Area attracts patrons throughout the Northern California.

Adults (18 and over) are $15, Children (6 to 17) are $10. And kids under 6 years old are free. There will be concessions for both food and beverages.

The location is the Mounted Patrol Grounds at 521 Kings Mountain Road, In Woodside, CA. Gates will open at 8 AM on July 4th. Phone 650-851-8300 for additional information.

Online ticket purchases are now closed in order to give us time to compile lists of prepaid folks. But, no need to worry, you can still buy tickets at the door for dinner, or at the Patrol entrance for the Rodeo.
